How Low Can You Go

Well, little man has done quite the acrobatic flip recently and decided to hold the landing! Basically he has rotated and decided to lay half his body on my bladder...I kid you not. I now feel like I could use the bathroom every 5 seconds or so only to find out that I am empty :D Honestly, I will be the first to admit that this new position of his is NOT my favorite but I am completely at ease knowing that he is a-okay in there. A couple days ago I had my first little scare!

For the last 3 months or so I have felt my little one movin' and groovin' all day long. The movements definitely got stronger the last month or so and I was starting to get used to the crazy twists and jolts. Then it just stopped! As in 2 days ago just stopped! I wasn't feeling a kick or punch.... but a boring big belly. Being the typical worrisome mommy-to-be, I decided to do a little research just to ease my mind. After a couple google searches, 3 baby websites and some forums, I soon discovered that it is COMPLETELY normal for your baby to shift after the 26th week. The feelings do change and may become less intense. I decided to pay super close attention to any new feelings I was experiencing and sure enough I started to feel crazy weird flutters down deep. He must be sitting so low! Now I understand why I feel like I swallowed an extra 5lb weight that is just sitting on my pelvis. Every time I get up from sitting or laying down, little man decides to see how low he can go so mommy can get a taste of what the last month of pregnancy will feel like. I thank you much my angel ;)

On a completely other note....... I thought I would give you a little preview of what my next post will be consumed with.

Yes. The other man in my life :D He is my partner in crime, my snuggle bunny and the best feel better buddy a girl could ask for! Meet Coop! (aka Cooper) ~ Little man's soon to be bbf (best brother forever)

Okay... I guess I should explain this peculiar pic. Well first-the massiveness that my belly appears to be, that's how I was feeling at that moment. Second-I was just snappin' a photo to show that I can still see those tootsies of mine :D And third- well Coop's in it. duh!

Battle of the Strollers

Strollers stress this sista' out! Here's why...

#1 There are way too many
#2 A bazillion plus completely necessary features on each one
#3 Reviews for days (written and on video)---yes I have read and seen what feels like them all.
#4 I CAN'T try ANY of them out! Do you feel the frustration exploding out this one!?!
#5 Still not sure what the last reason is... but I am sure I will come up with one soon ;D

All I DO know is that I want a lightweight stroller, lightweight infant car seat, lightweight pram (aka bassinet) and sleek design! Nothing bulky or difficult to open/close, easy to maneuver...and by that I mean I can do a figure 8 with one hand if I wanted to. Is this criteria too much to ask for? I need the stroller God's to bring me down a solution to this awful dilemma.

So I have kinda sorta returned to the same few brands, which I thought I would fill you in on. Please oh PLEASE if anyone has any sort of opinion, advice, preference... SHARE! I am all ears :)

OPTION A: Orbit BabyNow this is one stroller I have actually been able to test out since my sister has it. It is beyond chic and has incredible features.. the top one being that all the seats rotate 360 degrees! This is so nice for so many reasons. (keeping baby out of sun, getting car seat out of the car, bringing baby up to the table when out and about)
What is holding me back??? It is super expensive and HEAVY! Call me weak... but this chick has a hard time lugging that seat around.

Option 2: Britax B-Ready
Supposedly this Britax baby is lightweight and super easy to maneuver. It does have an infant car seat and pram that fits into the stroller frame which is a MAJOR bonus. It can turn into a double stroller BUT I by no means am remotely thinking about a 2nd baby. I like the look and the price but I am unfamiliar with the brand....so there is a little hesitation there.

Option 3: Uppa Baby Vista
Okay, so this one is definitely popular and I have seen it out and about quite a few times. It has all the great features of the other 2 designs - minus the 360 rotation thing. I love that this stroller is reputable BUT I am afraid that it sits low and might be too bulky at the bottom.

Seriously I am so confused! So there are 3 of the gajillion strollers that I have looked at. You would think I would have figured this all out... but nope! By the way, don't think I narrowed it down to just 3---there are others that are in the running.... I just don't think you want to hear about them all :D

Oh! Before I forget I must add...

Reason #5: Refer back to reason #4 (it's a biggy!)

Smiles for Miles :D

So I am officially back and ready to blog! These last couple weeks have been absolutely overflowing with craziness and I have literally had no time to get my fingers on this keyboard. Now it is game on :D

I have had quite the blessed 2 weeks filled with moments that have brought huge smiles to my heart and face. Once again, I was reminded of the important people in my life that I so deeply cherish. So get comfortable and get ready to hear about my blissful moments.

#1 My class threw me a baby shower. Did you hear that!?! Those sneaky little ones with the help of their amazing moms, pulled off a surprise shower for me and my little peanut. My heart strings still get tugged every time I think about it. 2 Fridays ago, I dropped my kids off at library and to my surprise, I was pulled in and given the most unexpected gift. Those sweet ones pampered me with love, gifts and delicious treats. It took me a few minutes to come back to earth and actually recognize what was happening. Nothing like this has ever been done for me and boy it touched me deep. This will be a memory of a lifetime for sure. My gratitude goes on for miles!

So #1 is enough happiness already... BUT I have more :D

#2 School came to an end on Friday and I had to give out 21 bittersweet goodbyes. We had a successful Kindergarten graduation and as I watched each one of them sing their songs and recite that end of the year poem, I was lost in amazement. They have each come so far, grown so much and taken a giant step to becoming their own little person. As a teacher, it is beyond rewarding.... it's just magical. So another year of teaching has passed and come August, 20 more big-eyed friends will join me on another journey through Kindergarten.

#3 SUMMER VACATION! Enough said :)

#4 I had another appointment this past week to check up on my little man. As the midwife placed the mic on my tummy to hear his heartbeat, we got quite the show. He decided he would give us a giant "hello" by kicking up a storm. So instead of hearing a nice strong heartbeat, we got huge thumps and a bouncy belly. I couldn't help but smile thinking about what that sweet one was doing in there. Luckily, after his hello he settled back down and I got to hear the miraculous beating of his tiny heart. And yes... it was the sweetest sound ever! So little man is moving right along down the road of development and in a couple more weeks I will be checking in on him 2x a month instead of just 1. We are getting close!

That deserves a HUGE smile right there :D.

#5 I am getting much closer to finding a home. My house hunting is going really well and fingers crossed... I will soon be a first time homeowner! I so can't wait.

As you can see.. life has been a little busy lately but for ALL good reasons. I know there are many more smiling moments ahead.

Oh! I must not forget to add....

#6 I am 25 weeks preggo, feeling fantastic and slightly overstretched;) But no one is complaining here!

25 Weeks Pregnant
Size: 13.5 long and about 1.5lbs. About the size of a rutabaga (not too familiar with this veggie)
He is growing lots of hair and if I could peek in at him, I would be able to identify the color of it.
He is still filling out that thin little body of his with all that cute baby fat. So cute!

POP!

Put a needle in me and watch out! I think I might just pop! Apparently they weren't kidding about some growth going on during the 23rd week! I know I know... I am only 6 months along and probably shouldn't be complaining talking about popping aka feeling like you are at maximum capacity considering I will probably double in size. But...I do! I am sure in the next few days my body will wake up and realize it needs to do a little more stretching in the belly area. I am thinking Palmers (cocoa butter) and I will be bff's more than once a day. Just taking precaution ;)

Other than feeling like an overly blown up balloon, I am doing fantastic! My little man is still a wiggle worm and moving around all day long which I am so obsessed with. My energy is still up, even though I am pretty sure I went to bed at 8:30 on Tuesday. But I am completely blaming that on TeacherEndOfTheYearExhaustion Syndrom. I know... BIG word but it really should exist. My appetite is in check and actually getting back to normal AND I am still head over heels in love with this little guy! Which, how could you not be.. you did see him here right!?! So things are good... really good.

I have started to explore, by that I mean google, all things nursery. I am thinking something more neutral with little bits of color (that's where the boyishness will come in)... and going with a safari theme but focusing mainly on elephants. There is something so cute about that animal, especially when they are fat! Here are some pics of what I am leaning towards. Enjoy!

*Elephant Chalkboard Decal (A-Dorable :D)

So you can kinda sorta see where I am going with this...okay maybe not, but these things are cute regardless:) I am in the process of making an idea board on my mac so I can put it all together. I will post it when complete!

On a side note... my next appointment is less than a week away. It's hard to believe it has already been a month since my little man's big reveal. Time is flying! Wooooh!
